TP Trivia is a social events company specializing in active community entertainment. Our host of services include a variety of group games and activities, from Trivia at Bars, to Scavenger Hunts at Companies, to Music Bingo at Apartment Complexes, and every combination in between.

What’s our Style?

We strive to create an open and lighthearted environment, encouraging our audiences to take a digital detox from their phones, allowing co-workers, friends, and strangers alike, to all bond and connect through shared experiences. We’re not passive hosts, sitting down and hiding behind a microphone like others you might’ve seen in the past. We believe that no matter the event, or location, the role of a host is to entertain. So at TP events you can expect impromptu stand-up routines, topical improvs and asides, random group polls, and at least one spontaneous singalong. Where Are We?

We’re based in Durham, North Carolina but have hosted events throughout the South and Northeast. We Love To Travel!

Our Story

How we got our start

Tyler and Paxton (T+P - get it? Super creative, we know), met while bartending at Bull City Ciderworks in 2017. After learning that the bar’s previous trivia host was departing, Tyler eagerly volunteered himself and Paxton as immediate replacements (without ever asking Paxton first). They started hosting together, developing their performance chemistry and personal friendship. Soon, what began as a fun weekly happening at Ciderworks, quickly grew into a bustling side hustle with additional trivia events at other locations around Durham. In 2019, TP Trivia became an LLC, expanding our client base to both apartment complexes and corporate events. Beyond traditional trivia games, we’ve also hosted events featuring Music Bingo, Family Feud, and Scavenger Hunts.
